For the third straight year, LeMaire’s has been voted the number-one Cajun catfish restaurant by readers of Missouri Ruralist Magazine. It’s no wonder;
owner, “Frenchie” LeMaire trucks his seafood in fresh from The Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Louisiana. Himself a native of that state, Frenchie has been cooking up Sedalia’s best seafood for the last couple decades. In 1984, after he retired from the U.S. Air Force, Frenchie opened LeMaire’s as only a seafood market; however, popular demand for real Cajun cooking soon prodded him into the restaurant business, and the rest is history.
LeMaire’s seafood selection includes crawfish, lobster, grilled shrimp, plus seafood gumbo. There’s also chicken gumbo, alligator, steak, hamburgers, pork tenderloins, chicken sandwiches, along with boudin balls and links.
Drink choices run from popular beers and wine, to Pepsi and Coke products.
Monday is Senior Special Day, all day long. On Wednesdays up to 3 young children eat for $2.00 each, when accompanied by one entree-ordering adult. Every day is Big Catch Day, all-the-catfish-you-eat for just $12.95.
And “every day” means just that, because Le’Maire’s is open to serve you 365 days a year. Open Sunday thru Thursday 11 ‘til 9 (‘til 10 from Memorial Day to Labor Day). Friday and Saturday, serving ‘til 10 (11 in summer).
